Your library
Where is my data?
In the library folder you chose — by default %USERPROFILE%\IrisDeck. The Library field in Settings shows where it is, and Open library folder opens it in File Explorer.
How do I back up, or move to another PC?
Close the app and copy the whole library folder. While the app is running, use Settings → Tools → Create backup… instead.
On the other PC, choose that folder with Other library….
Does uninstalling delete my data?
No. The library folder stays where it is. Install IrisDeck again and open the same folder.
Adding files
What can I keep?
Photos, videos, documents and other files. Press Add files and choose them, or paste a copied image. They are kept as one new item with a title, and you can give it a topic, tags and notes.
Can I add more files to an item later?
Yes. Open the item and press Attach files. The files are kept with that item and are included when you download its ZIP or export it.
PIN and hidden mode
What is hidden mode?
A second, separate library — the hidden library — with its own items, topics and tags. It isn’t shown in any menu. Everything in it is encrypted on disk with AES-256, using a key made from its own 6-digit PIN.
Press Esc to leave hidden mode; IrisDeck goes straight back to your regular library.
Can anyone open the hidden library without the PIN?
No. The PIN is not stored anywhere and there is no reset, recovery or back door, so without it the contents cannot be decrypted — not by you, and not by us.
Choose a PIN that is hard to guess. Like any 6-digit code, it is meant to keep out the people around you and anyone who copies your files, not to hold off a determined attacker with specialized equipment for a long time.
I forgot my app PIN
Create an empty file whose name starts with PIN-RESET (for example PIN-RESET.txt) in the library folder, then start the app again and set a new PIN. Your data stays as it is.
I forgot my hidden library PIN
The PIN-RESET file resets only the 4-digit app PIN. The hidden library is encrypted with its own 6-digit PIN, which is stored nowhere. If you forget it, the hidden library cannot be opened again — not by you, and not by us.
To start the hidden library over, close the app and delete the hidden folder .store inside the library folder. Everything in it is lost.

How do I choose the thumbnail shown in the list?
Open the item and drag the photo or video you want to the front. The first one is the thumbnail in the list.
How do I delete items for good?
Deleted items go to the Trash first, where you can Restore them. To remove them for good, select them in the Trash and choose Delete permanently. This can’t be undone.
How do I change the language?
Settings → Language. IrisDeck is in English until you choose; English and 한국어 are available.
What do I need to run IrisDeck?
A PC with Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). IrisDeck is installed and updated through the Microsoft Store.
